Some patterns are frustrating, ugly and badly designed. Some are works of beauty. To help you along a little I have compiled a few lists here. I use The Foldline website (https://thefoldline.com) quite a bit and highly recommend this website to search for patterns, read reviews, and get PDF patterns printed. They regularly collate patterns for bags, spring, jackets etc and they are spot on. Their Facebook group is a really helpful community with people giving advice, support, helping source fabric and patterns etc.
I am not going to list my favourite women’s wear patterns as there are so very many but the same does not go for menswear, kids clothes and accessories so here are some that I have made/ are renowned for being great etc:
Bags etc
Kids patterns
Men’s patterns
Pattern companies I adore:
Closet Core Patterns has many cracking patterns, great sew-alongs, helpful blogs etc. Their not and instructions are among the very best!
Cashmerette’s website is outstanding for help and support for larger bodies. Absolutely super helpful pattern adjusting guidance as well as clubs and patterns
Friday Pattern Company for funky patterns which are cool and well designed.
The Assembly Line has super stylish patterns that are fun to stitch!
Waves and Wild are great for adult and kids patterns and they have SO MANY!
