I made a list of all the patterns I really wanted to make this year back in December 2022. For years I had been buying patterns whenever I saw something I fancied, but only in an average year made a handful of things, often in preparation for a class so not even actually a pattern I may have chosen for its interesting construction for example. This time I really really wanted to make things I loved. And by golly I have ploughed through my list! And I have even confidentially added things to the list knowing I actually would get round to making them this year.
This was in part helped by work being extremely quiet in June and July and me not having the concentration or will to tackle bigger work projects that had been lingering on my list for years (looking at you, making videos, see below!).

I obviously am way too ambitious but it is good to have this list. I will roll over on to next year what I don’t make in 2023 but I have knocked some big ones off, ones I have wanted to make for YEARS (looking at you Zadie and Charlie!)
